Welcome Artists and Dabblers

Hey guys,

This is the official web site for Guelph Life Drawing.

This event is a twice weekly event to stretch our artistic legs and draw from a model.  We run it on Tuesdays and Saturdays.  This poster I made does a better and prettier job of explaining it than I.

I would really like to emphasis that this event is very open to NEW artists.  If you've never drawn from the model and care to learn some things, stop on by.  If you want advice or tutoring in any way, just ask.  If you want to enjoy your art in your own privacy, this is equally accepted.

The study of anatomy and the human body transcends merely being able to draw the human form, but is more importantly a way of training your eye to see.  Learning to see with an artful, keen eye is important across a wide spectrum of disciplines - beyond those involved in the artistic realm directly.

Above all, I hope to encourage a strong cultural, artistic community here in Guelph, as we're not too shabby in these regards anyway.

Cheers, and I hope to see you soon.

Final life drawing session before Christmas Break

See you guys, and anyone else that is interested after New Years!  Great last session.

Largest session so far!  Thank you everyone for helping me make this event happen.  It's been a great learning experience so far.

We'll be back in Jan. ;)
